Established 2021 — built for farmers
Established in 2021 with the vision of bringing opportunities and access to local farmers, FEADT-SA has been working tirelessly to bring these goals to fruition. Working with local representatives and role players, we have worked to accomplish empowerment through transformation.
FEADT-SA implements all-inclusive models while prioritising farmers. We partner with emerging commercial and smallholder farmers to develop their land sustainably — creating jobs, boosting income, and fostering community growth. Through skills transfer and innovative models, we ensure land remains productive and economically viable for future generations.
As a non-profit dedicated to supporting communities that acquire land through the Land Reform Programme, our approach is built on collaboration and empowerment. We work closely with communal land-holding entities, guiding them to manage their assets effectively and in the best interests of their members, to build self-reliant, thriving communities equipped to achieve long-term prosperity.
Today FEADT-SA operates from a hub-and-spoke model anchored at the Diepdrift flagship hub in Bushbuckridge, with satellite hubs across the Lowveld and Highveld, directly supporting over 300 smallholder farmers and 24 agricultural cooperatives. The organisation operates within a strategic consortium alongside the Mpumalanga Green Cluster Agency (MGCA) and the Nkomazi Special Economic Zone (Nkomazi SEZ).
